Emmy Awards: Game of Thrones e Fleabag i grandi vincitori della serata

Nella notte appena trascorsa sono stati assegnati i prestigiosi Emmy Awards, ovvero gli Oscar del mondo del piccolo schermo, che nella loro 71esima edizione hanno registrato il trionfo di Game of Thrones e Fleabag.

La serie fantasy della HBO giunta a conclusione tra le polemiche al termine della sua ottava stagione ha conquistato il premio come miglior serie drammatica, mentre la seconda stagione della serie scritta e interpretata da Phoebe Waller-Bridge si è portata a casa il premio nella categoria miglior serie comedy, mettendo fine al pluriennale strapotere di Veep.

Per le miniserie o serie limitate ha trionfato Chernobyl, forte del suo grandissimo successo di pubblico e critica - ancora ad appannaggio di HBO - mentre tra i "film per la televisione", l'Emmy è andato a Bandersnatch, esperimento interattivo targato Black Mirror.

Sorpresa anche tra gli attori dove a spuntarla sono stati Bill Hader, per il suo impegno in Barry (ancora HBO) e Bill Porter per Pose, mentre tra le attrici hanno trionfato Jodie Comer di Killing Eve e Phoebe Waller-Bridge (che di Killing Eve è stata anche sceneggiatrice) per la già menzionata Fleabag. Tra le miniserie riconoscimenti per Jharrel Jerome (When They See Us) e Michelle Williams (Fosse/Verdon)
